Abstract
Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of mirror therapy on the upper extremity function in acute stroke patient.

Methods: This study was a single subject experimental research with ABA design, ``A`` being the baseline phase and ``B`` the experimental phase. The mirror therapy applied for 20 minutes during experimental phase. A Fugl-Meyer Assesment(FMA), Manual Function Test(MFT) and Box and Block Test(BBT) were used to evaluate the upper extremity function recovery.

Result: In the result of FMA and MFT, the total average score of all subjects improved during the experimental phase more than in the baseline and maintained during the second baseline. In the result of BBT, the total average score of all subjects except for 1(subject 3) improved during the experimental phase more than in the baseline and maintained during the second baseline.

Conclusion: The mirror therapy will be usefully applied for recovery of upper extremity function in acute stroke patients.
